After School Enrichment

After School Enrichment   computers

The 21st Century after School Enrichment program is offered Monday through Friday from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m.  Maritime students are encouraged to enroll in the Program to advance their academic studies while experiencing an enriched curriculum focused on nautical and maritime skills.  This program relates nautical and maritime skills and themes to the cadet’s everyday lives.

Sailing into the Future Enrichment Program works with  cadets in grades 5-8.  The program engages students and their parents and/or guardians in reading and math.  This program also involves students in exciting nautical and maritime activities both on the water and in the classroom.

Charting a Course for the Future works with Cadets in grades 9-12.  This Enrichment program provides students and parents with reading and math enrichment activities, nautical and marine experiences both on the water and in the classroom. 

~From 3:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. the cadets are directed in to “Homework Time” where they experience one-on-one tutoring from our Enrichment teachers.    

~At 4:15 the Cadets have a snack.  After they finish their snack they join they have a chose to pick what Enrichment project they want to be involved in for that week.   Cadets will remain with that enrichment project for the entire week. 

Some of our Enrichment activities include art projects, boat building, wood working, paritipation in drumline, and our steel drum Corp.

    

Parents can enroll their cadets into the program by completing an enrollment packet.
