Delays, Closings and Emergency Alerts
When The Maritime Academy of Toledo is closed or delayed due to inclement weather or an emergency, families will be notified through multiple communication channels. Families should monitor Toledo-area television and radio news stations for school closing and delay announcements.
The Academy will also use BrightArrow to send important school updates directly to families through text messages and email. Families must sign up for BrightArrow to stay in the know! Please make sure your contact information is current and that you are enrolled in BrightArrow so you receive timely notifications about weather-related changes, emergencies, and other important school announcements.

Any tip you leave may be done so anonymously.
The type of tips that may be reported:
- Bullying
- Withdrawn student behaviors
- Verbal or written threats observed toward students, faculty or schools
- Weapons/suspicious devises on or near school grounds
- Gang related activities
- Substance abuse
- Unusual/suspicious behavior of students or staff
- Self-harm or suicidal sentiments
- Any other school safety related concern
