Student and Family Resources
The Maritime Academy of Toledo is committed to supporting our families beyond the classroom. We have compiled a collection of community resources to assist parents and guardians with a variety of needs, including academic, social, emotional, and family support services. Families are encouraged to explore the links provided and reach out directly to the organizations listed for assistance. We extend our sincere thanks to A Step Beyond and the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement for their partnership and support in helping us connect families to valuable resources throughout our community.
Resource Guide for Maritime Parents
This resource was created to help Maritime families easily find support when they need it. It includes a list of trusted community organizations and services, along with contact information, so families can reach out directly for help with school, health, safety, and basic needs. All of the resources are free to use and available to families at any time. This guide is meant to remind families that support is available and they do not have to face challenges alone.

The Healing Hub Resource Guide
This guide serves as a one-stop shop for community resources that can assist those who have been impacted by gun violence. The programs and organizations included in the guide have been selected based on meeting common needs identified by survivors. The information in the guide will be updated regularly to ensure it remains an accurate source of information and support for those experiencing the aftermath of gun violence.

A Step Beyond
A Step Beyond is our in-house clinical service provider, offering mental health therapy and case management services to support our students and their families. They work with our students year-round to provide consistent care and guidance. In addition, through a partnership with Panera Bread, A Step Beyond helps coordinate weekly end-of-day donations of baked goods to support families in need within our school community.
Autism Resources
As awareness of autism grows, Ohio is seeking new solutions to expand the number of trained service providers and offer consistent, community-wide support for parents and families. Powered by OCALI, ASD Strategies in Action is a free, online training program designed to put valuable information into the hands of families and providers to improve the lives of those we serve. Funded under the leadership of the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) in partnership with the Ohio Department of Education and the Governor’s Office of Health Transformation, this collaborative effort invites families and providers to visit www.autismcertificationcenter.org to learn more and access the training.
